Therapist. Founder. Peak Performance Coach. Systems-Builder. Professional “How Is It Already Thursday?” Person.

Hi, I’m Renee — therapist, founder of Clear Water Wellness, mental-skills coach, mom, and someone who deeply believes therapy should feel human, not clinical and confusing with clipboards and weird lighting.

I help kids, teens, adults, parents, and athletes make sense of their brains, calm their nervous systems, and stop assuming everyone else has life figured out (spoiler: they don’t). My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and occasionally sarcastic — because sometimes laughter is regulation.

What I actually do now:

  • Provide therapy for anxiety, trauma, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, attachment stuff, and the classic “I’m doing my best but still feel like I’m failing” experience.

  • Offer animal-assisted therapy with Bowie, my giant Newfypoo therapy dog who brings emotional safety, comic relief, and the confidence of someone who has never once worried about productivity.

  • Run Peak Performance mental skills programming for athletes — including work with Rage Surf Soccer Club— helping players manage pressure, confidence, mistakes, and identity both on and off the field.

  • Partner with schools, coaches, and community organizations to bring mental health support directly to kids and teens (because access shouldn’t depend on a parent’s work schedule or insurance maze).

  • Develop and lead group therapy programs focused on stress, emotional regulation, identity, performance, and real-life coping — because sometimes healing hits harder when you realize you’re not the only one.

  • Advocate hard around insurance, out-of-network benefits, and transparency — with a huge task of wanting help everyone.

I’m big on clarity, boundaries, and not pretending therapy fixes everything overnight. I’ll teach skills, challenge patterns, explain the why behind your reactions, and help you build something sustainable — not just survive the week.

Side effects of working with me may include:

  • Feeling genuinely understood.

  • Saying “oh… that makes sense” more than expected.

  • Thinking, “oh my gosh, I can’t wait to tell her (piping hot tea)”!

  • Learning how to regulate your nervous system instead of just powering through.

  • Laughing mid-session and immediately apologizing for it.

  • Accidentally petting a dog while having a breakthrough.

Whether you’re a parent trying to support a struggling kid, an athlete feeling crushed by pressure, or an adult who’s held it together for way too long — I offer a space that’s honest, supportive, and grounded in real tools that actually transfer to real life.

We’ll do the work.
We’ll keep it real.
And yes — we can absolutely talk about soccer, stress, or why your brain does that thing.

A home away from home…

At Clearwater Wellness we strive to create an environment that is comfortable and uplifting. Something that says… “You can cry, laugh, and maybe even take a nap here.”
