At Clear Water Wellness, how we structure payment is not accidental.

It is intentional.

We are an out-of-network practice by choice.

Not because we don’t understand insurance.
Not because we don’t care about accessibility.
And not because we wanted to make things complicated.

We made this decision to protect the integrity of care.

We maintain consistent session rates to help you make informed decisions about your care.

  • Initial Intake Session: $125

  • Ongoing Therapy Sessions: $125 (50–60 minutes)

  • Intern Sessions: $85

Payment is due at the time of service.

FSA/HSA payments accepted

We are in-network with the following EAP providers:

Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits

Although we do not bill insurance directly, many clients are able to use out-of-network mental health benefits to receive partial reimbursement.

To support this process, Clear Water Wellness partners with Mentaya, a service that can:

  • Verify your out-of-network benefits

  • Provide reimbursement estimates before starting

  • Assist with submitting claims on your behalf

We also provide superbills upon request for clients who prefer to manage reimbursement independently.

Sliding Scale

Clear Water Wellness offers a limited number of sliding scale openings, based on financial need and clinician availability. While these spots are not always available, we welcome open conversations and encourage you to reach out if cost is a concern.

Intern Sessions

A therapy intern is a graduate-level clinician who is completing required clinical hours as part of their master’s program in counseling or social work. They have completed coursework in diagnosis, ethics, and therapeutic techniques and are now gaining hands-on experience — under close supervision.

At Clear Water Wellness, our interns:

         •       Work under the supervision of a fully licensed clinician

         •       Participate in weekly supervision

         •       Review cases to ensure high-quality care

         •       Follow the same ethical and confidentiality standards

Think of it like a medical residency — they are trained, capable, and supported.

 Working with an intern can be a wonderful option for clients who:

         •       Prefer lower session rates

         •       Appreciate a collaborative team-based approach

         •       Feel comfortable contributing to a clinician’s professional development

Getting Started

Choosing a therapy practice is a personal decision. If you have questions about rates, insurance, scheduling, or whether Clear Water Wellness is the right fit, we encourage you to reach out.

When availability allows, we offer same-week appointments, including initial intakes. Scheduling is managed through our intake team and client portal to ensure timely access and the best possible clinician fit.We understand that finances can impact access to care.

Cancellations, Late Cancels, and No Shows

Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment will be considered a late cancel and you will be responsible for a late cancellation fee. Late cancellations and re-scheduled session will be subject to the $85.00 fee IF NOT RECEIVED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. Please be advised that any attempts to cancel an appointment via phone call or text outside of our normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00am-7:00pm) will be acknowledged and addressed at the beginning of the next business day, and you may still be subject to the late cancellation fee. To avoid any complications with cancellations, we encourage you to utilize the patient portal, as it ensures timely processing of your request. Any missed sessions will be considered a no show and you will be responsible for the $85 no show fee. In the event of late cancellations or no shows, your credit card on file will be charged for the late cancellations or no shows fee. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we try to be as flexible as possible. However, excessive late cancellations or no-shows may result in a modified agreement regarding our late cancel/no-show policy.
